Korean pop boy band VIXX was created by Jellyfish Entertainment in 2012 as part of the MyDOL reality show. The members of the dance- and R&B-influenced group, participants on the televised survival program, were chosen by fans, who also decided their name, which stands for "Voice, Visual, Value in Excelsis." The quintet is comprised of N (Cha Hak-yeon), Leo (Jung Taek-woon), Ken (Lee Jae-hwan), Ravi (Kim Won-sik) and Hyuk (Han Sang-hyuk).

There are only a few idol groups that are as easy to distinguish from the others the way it is with VIXX. Their concepts are always different from everyone and they stay true to themselves all the while giving their fans brilliant and exceptional stories through their comebacks. It’s fascinating to see how their song, lyrics, outfits, music video, album photoshoots, and choreography all become part of their big picture. No wonder everyone refers to VIXX as concept idols nowadays.
Hands up if you cried watching VIXX’s first win on a music show! Watching them getting teary over their first trophy for “Voodoo Doll” is an emotional rollercoaster in itself, but listening to Hakyeon’s meaningful words makes this moment even more beautiful. VIXX wouldn’t be the same without our thoughtful and fantastic leader, N. Starlights, let’s give VIXX many more wins in the future so that we can see their bright smiles and happy tears!
Don’t let VIXX play games. Whatever the occasion, they will probably try everything to win – even if it means crossing some lines and ignoring some rules. It’s nothing serious though, and if anything, it just makes every variety show a lot more entertaining. These boys are just keeping it real at all times and that makes it impossible not to adore them.
